Vestas has firmed a 49.5MW order with GSI, an emerging wind farm developer in north China’s Inner Mongolia.

This is a materialization of a 250MW framework signed between the two in April 2011. The two also signed the first order of 49MW at the same time of last year.

The new order includes supply of V80 2MW wind turbines, installation supervision and commissioning, a Vestas Online SCADA system and a service and maintenance agreement. The first turbines are expected to be delivered during the third quarter of 2012.

The turbines will be installed in the Wandequan wind park, Huitengxile grassland, Inner Mongolia. The average wind speed in Wandequan is 9 m/s and belongs to the IEC class I category.
