The contract is for 21 V100 2.6MW turbines for the Orta Nova wind farm. It includes a 15-year service agreement and is set to be installed by the end of the year.
An availability guarantee measured against an agreed threshold is also included in the service deal.
According to “uåX˜äŠÊ˜·³Ç Intelligence, 138MW of projects came online in Italy using Vestas turbines. This is a decline of 184MW compared to 2010.
Speaking about the deal, Juan Araluce, chief sales officer, acting president, Vestas Mediterranean said: "Based on the V90-3.0 MW turbine, one of the most proven in the industry, with more than 2,400 installations since 2002, the V100-2.6 MW uses technology which has already shown its efficiency and durability in the field."
