Aldesa to build 90MW project in Poland

POLAND: Spain's Aldesa Energia Renovables has won a tender to build a 90MW wind farm in Resko, Poland, for PGE Energia Odnawialna (PGE EO), renewable arm of Polish energy utility PGE.

Under the contract, Aldesa is to be paid PLN 90 million (€21.5 million) by PGE EO. "The offer was the most competitive one, it fulfills all [our] requirements," PGE EO said in a statement.

In the first phase of the project, the new facility is to be fitted with seven wind turbines with a 1.5MW capacity each.

The remaining three bids for the deal were submitted by Spain's Iberdrola Engineering and Construction, and two Polish construction companies, Mostostal Warszawa and Energoprojekt Warszawa.

PGE EO operates a 30MW wind farm in Kamiensk, Poland. The facility comprises 15 2MW wind turbines.
