Zeschky is the head of the industrial division of Voith Turbo, which specialises in mechanical, hydrodynamic, electric and electronic propulsion, as well as braking systems.
Nordex confirmed Zeschky would take up his new role by April 2012 at the latest, with the potential for him to join the turbine manufacturer depending on contract negotiations with his current employers.
He will replace current Nordex chief executive Thomas Richterich, who in July announced his decision to leave the company when his current contract expires in June 2012.
With a doctorate degree in mechanical engineering, Zeschky has been head of the industrial division of Voith Turbo in Heidenheim since 2003, a business segment that currently has revenues of around €610 million and 2,100 employees. Prior to this, he held a management position at a Siemens subsidiary in the US.
