GRP secures vessel order from Iceni

GRP Laminates of the Isle of Wight in southern England has secured an order from Great Yarmouth-based Iceni Marine Services for a wind vessel.

The vessel is a 13-metre rapid response vehicle for Great Yarmouth-based Iceni Marine Services’ wind farm support fleet.

In May, GRP secured exclusive worldwide rights from South Cat to build its offshore wind workboats.

GRP MD Mark Guiessarian said: "[The order] is a clear indication that composite moulded catamarans remain an attractive option for the offshore renewables industry."
