The Spanish manufacturer will develop two 300MW projects, one with Guandong Nuclear Wind Power and the other with China Huadian New Energy Development.
The wind farms will be in Jilin province and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. They will use Gamesa G9X-2.0MW, which will be delivered during the next five years.
The turbines will be produced in Gamesa’s factories in Jilin and Inner Mongolia.
These deals follow moves by Gamesa to strengthen its position in the Chinese market.
In October the company signed deals with Guangdong Nuclear Wind, Datang Renewable Power and Henan Weite Wind Power for a combined 251MW.
In November, Gamesa announced plans to triple investment in China by 2012. It said it would plough an extra €90 million into the market, rasing its total outlay to €130 million.
Gamesa is also planning to revamp its existing factories to accommodate new products. It is also building a sixth factory in Inner Mongolia, which will make nacelles.
