The deal is for the Tween Bridge Moor wind farm in Yorkshire. Vestas will supply 22 V90-2.0MW turbines for the project, which are designed for low and medium wind speeds.
The turbines are scheduled to be delivered in February 2012. The contract also includes a five-year service agreement.
The project will be E.ON’s largest operational wind farm in England.
Vestas is currently expanding its research and development facility on the Isle of Wight, off of England’s southern coast.
The manufacturer is constructing a new building to house the blade testing facility to be completed in June, and may double the 200-strong staff.
