UNITED STATES: Affinity Wind and Suzlon Wind Energy have created a new company called Surity Wind LLC, to develop a $240 million wind farm in Pike County, Illinois.
NEW ZEALAND: Mighty River Power is seeking to build a 50-turbine/150 MW wind farm at Marlborough's east coast near Cape Campbell.
UK: Enertrag UK has announced new plans for a four-turbine wind farm, known as the Streetwood Wind Farm, on a site near Bussey’s Loke, Hempnall, in Norfolk.
CHINA: Ningxia Development and Reform Commission has granted approval to Ningxia Yinxing Energy and its subsidiary, Ningxia Yinyi Wind Power, to build two wind farms in Ningxia.

INDIA: Suzlon Group has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Government of Gujarat to develop 1000 MW of new wind power capacity in the state over the next three years.
NORWAY: Vestavind has selected four firms, from the tender which was issued last Septemer, to participate in the next round of bidding for the Havsul offshore wind farm located offshore from Sandøy, on the north-west coast of Norway.

MEXICO: Iberdrola Renovables is to use Gamesa wind turbines for two wind farms in Mexico, according to Spanish news sources.
UNITED STATES: E.ON has selected White Construction Inc. to provide engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services for its 150 MW Settlers Trail Wind Farm in Iroquois County, Illinois.
BRAZIL: ABB has won orders worth US$32 million from Renova Energia SA, in the fourth quarter of 2010, to provide five new transformer substations and build overhead transmission lines to serve 14 wind farms with a generation capacity of about 300 MW.
GERMANY: Danish company NKT Cables has been awarded a DKK 600 million (EUR 80 million) contract by TenneT, to supply and lay 50km of submarine cables.

UNITED STATES: The $122 million Highland North wind farm in Adams and Summerhill townships, Cambria County, Pennsylvania, is to receive $6 million state funding.
NAMIBIA: United Africa Group, Sojitz Corp and Korea Midland Power (part of Korea Electric Power Corp), have agreed on plans to develop a 44 MW wind farm in Luderitz, southwest Namibia.
UNITED STATES: Invenergy Wind has agreed to sell 95% of the Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) from its High Sheldon wind farm to the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) for the next 10 years.
CHINA: China Ruifeng Galaxy Renewable Energy is set to acquire 100% equity stake in Chengde Beichen High New Technology Co. Ltd. from a group of vendors at a total consideration of HK$59.77 million.
