The facility, which is located in the Sulcis Iglesiente area of Portoscuso, will use 39 Siemens 2.3MW turbines.
EGP already operates three wind farms in Sardinia, one of Italy’s windiest regions, with a combined capacity of 161MW and an annual electricity production of over 240GWh.
Annual production at the Portoscuso wind farm is estimated at over 185GWh.
At end-September, EGP’s total installed wind capacity in Italy amounted to about 500MW.
