As a result of this new energy sales contaract, the Pioneer Prairie Wind Park (with 300MW in operation) has all of its capacity contracted for the long term.
So far in 2010, EDPR has signed long-term contracts for 468 MW.
Horizon signs 20-year TVA PPA
UNITED STATES: Horizon Energy, the North American subsidiary of Portugal’s EDP Renováveis (EDPR) has signed a 20-year electricity sales contract with the Tennessee Valley Authority.
According to a statement issued on November 30 by EDPR to Portuguese market regulator CMVM, the contract signed by Horizon regards the 83MW (in operation) from the Pioneer Prairie Wind Park in the State of Iowa.
