The order comprises 24 S88 2.1MW turbines, 34 S82 1.5MW turbines, and 48 S95 2.1MW turbines. The installation will comprise of two stages with the first consisting of 101.4MW to be commissioned by June next year.
A second phase of 100.8MW is set to be commissioned by December 2011. Techno Electric currently has 95.45 of wind projects online.
The deal forms part of a wider 500MW supply order with Techno Electric.
Tamil Nadu recently featured in “uåX˜äŠÊ˜·³Ç’s Power Places list as one of the world’s top 10 locations for wind development. Currently 42% of India’s wind installations are in the state.
