Enbridge is taking a majority stake in the C$275 million project, which will be located on the north shore of Lake Superior. RES, the original developer of the project, retains a minority stake and will be responsible for constructing the wind farm under contract to the partnership. "This project represents a significant step in reaching our goal of generating a kilowatt of renewable energy for every kilowatt our operations consume," says Enbridge chief executive Patrick Daniel. The partnership follows a similar arrangement reached between the two companies last November for the 99MW Talbot wind project in Ontario. Both facilities are set to use Siemens 2.3MW turbines.
